I have not done as much research on my mother's side of my ancestry, as my father's side, the Jordal ancestry. Both came from Norway.
The header image here is of the Church (made residence) in or near Rushford Minnesota that my great grandfather helped to establish and run. This image is courtesy of my cousin Peggy, who has done a great deal of ancestry research over the past 20 years.
I created forum website to facilitate the collection of information that includes my ancestry on my mothers'side, the Bodsberg Family. They came from Norway, in the Byneset, Trondheim area.
For the longest time I got this photo wrong, or confused with my mother's fathers side of the family.
The young woman, standing on right is my grandmother Clara Josephine Pedersen.
Clara Josephine's father was Eisten Pedersen, most likely the man sitting in the middle of the photo.
This photo with matte was handed down from my mother. This is a digitally enhanced image. The wooden frame is completely added on after the original was scanned. One corner of the original matte was broken off. I copied matte from another corner to complete, or "repair" the photo. Then, I added the frame to fully refurbish the entire photo and frame as it possibly looked when it was new.
As it seems to be, I think this is my grandfather's confirmation class with his two siblings and two other girls. Albert Bodsberg, Female classmate, Anne Bodsberg, Female classmate, and Jens Christian Bodsberg.
Jens Christian Bodsberg is the young man sitting on the right.
This was my mother's father. My grandfather.
The Bodsberg family, my mother's parents family originally came to America and settled in Rushford, MN.
As it seems to be, I think this is my grandfather's confirmation class with his two siblings and two other girls. Albert Bodsberg, Female classmate, Anne Bodsberg, Female classmate, and Jens Christian Bodsberg. Children of Jens Jonson Hangerskjaer Bodsberg and Kristine Mathilde Bergshafellan . Kristine is also documented as Christine. Other documentation is missing at this time.
Jens Christian Bodsberg is the young man in the middle. This was my mother's father. My grandfather.
Far left if Albert, then Anne Marie, and on the right is Martin. An older brother John is not seen here. It is unknown what happened to John.
Jens Jonson Hangerskjaer Bodsberg was first married to Kristine Mathilde Bergshafellan . Kristine is also documented as Christine. My grandfather Jens Christian Bodsberg, my mother's father was from this union.
Hangerskjaeret and Bodsberg were a couple of farms or farm areas in the Byneset area southwest of the city of Trondheim, Norway.
More documentation is to be researched.
This is the Byneset Church just west of Trondheim, Norway. It seems several, if not many of my ancestors were married here. And, even buried in the cemetary onsite.
