John Denver is one of those artists, for me, that produced music that spoke to me from the very beginning.
There was a point in my life, right after High School, and just before moving to Minnesota where I heard John's song "I Want to Live", and it really moved me, and directly helped me choose my life.
It is only right that I have a page honoring this man and musician.
p.s. When I listened to "I Want to Live", I broke down crying, the memories just flooded back.
I created a Forums website, which is separate from this website to have a place to collect content, ideas and thoughts. A place to organize these things separate from all other social media sites. A place of my own where I can claim my successes and qualities, as well as bear witness to the terrible, terrible things I've experienced and learned.
I Want to Live
This song directly help me choose my life, as apposed to just suffer and die from abuses I experienced.
I was sexually abused besides being called a "piece of shit" by my father.
Besides it having a very positive message, it directly helped me to heal.
To the Wild Country
This song reminded me that I am not a city boy, and not just a country boy, but a man of the wilderness. The message of this song was something I could really identify with, and embrace it.
Besides it having a very positive message, it directly helped me to heal.
Sinking Skies, and Dancing Waters
This song directly help me choose my life, as apposed to just suffer and die from abuses I experienced.
